Overview

Satopanth Tal Trek also known as swargarohini Trek. Satopanth tal trek is a beautiful trail
to a triangle shaped Satopanth lake in Uttarakhand.This is situated on the base of famous
Mt Satopant. Altitude of this lake is 4330 mts /14203 Ft.The Satopanth Tal Trek is quite
challenging, but the view of the majestic Himalayan mountains is worth the effort.This
lake is surrounded by magnificent himalayan mountains from all sides.This trek starts from
Badrinath.

You can enjoy the spectacular view of the snow-capped mountains like Mt. Chaukhamba,
Mt. Neelkanth and Mt. Swargarohini. According to the mythological stories, it is believed
that this was the route taken by Pandav brothers to reach the heaven.

Itinerary :

Day 1 – Start by train from Mumbai.

Day 2 – Delhi to Haridwar

Reach Delhi and Leave for Hardiwar in the evening . (AC transport will be provided). Distance from Delhi to Haridwar is 231 KM (approximately 5 hours) .Stay in Haridwar (Dinner Included)

Day 3 – Haridwar to Badrinath

Leave for Badrinath early morning by private transport. Distance from Haridwar to Badrinath is 315km (Approximately 10 hours). Breakfast and lunch during travel is not included as we would prefer the participants to have food of their own choice due to medical reasons such as motion sickness.

Day 4 – Rest Day at Badrinath (Altitude 3300 Mts)

Rest and acclimatization day in Badrinath. Visit to Temple.All meals included from this day onwards.

Day 5 – Badrinath to Laxmivan via chamtoli

Satopanth Tal Trek starts from Badrinath to Laxmivan. The total trekking distance from Badrinath to Laxmivan is 9 km and generaaly takes around 7 hours. Trek starts from famous Mana village which is on the bank of saraswati river.Trekkers may spot the interesting Caves such as Vyas Gufa and Ganesh Gufa on the way.This trail towards Laxmivan goes through waterfall and dense forest.

Day 6 – Laxmivan to chakrateerath via Sahastradhara

Trek starts from the beautiful Campsite Laxmivan to Chakrateerth.Distance for this day is 11km and takes around 8 hours. After crossing a couple of waterfall at sahastra Dhara, trekkers can see the Neelkantha base camp on the way. Not only trekkers can see the Satopanth Tal but also the other giant
mountains like Neelkanth, Parvati and many others. The trail from the Laxmivan to Chakrateerth is tough but also surround with full of excitement and the view of the snowy peaks.

Day 7 – Chakrateerath to Satopanth Lake

The total trekking distance from chakrateerath to satopanth tal is 5 km and takes around 5 hours. It located at 4330 meters.Surrounded by the lotus flower Satopanth Lake has a natural beauty all around. The mesmerizing view of Balakun, Swargarohini, Chaukhamba just wow moment and your shutter will be hectic on this place. In the night, the view of stars is amazing at Satopanth tal.

Day 8 – Satopanth tal to Chakrateerath

From Satopanth lake to campsite Chakrateerath is 5km and takes around 5
hours to reach. This day onwards is continuing descends and trekkers may
enjoy the scenic perfection spread all around on the way back to
Chakrateerath campsite of Satopanth Tal trek.

Day 9 – Chakrateerath to Badrinath

Distance towards Badrinath is 11km and takes 6 hours as it covers mainly descends. This is the last day of the trek and it ends with beautiful scenery and hot water spring. Trekkers can take a dip in the hot water and enjoy it for sometime.

Day 10 – Departure

Return journey will start on this day .We will leave from Badrinath early
morning by private transport and reach Haridwar by late evening.

Stay in Haridwar. Dinner included.

Day 11 – Haridwar to Delhi

Transport by AC car to Delhi Railway station and catch a train to
Mumbai

Day 12 – Reach Mumbai /Pune.
